BizBoost How We Verify · South Africa
✓ Every business checked before it's listed

What a CIPC-verified business means

A business marked verified on BizBoost has had its CIPC registration, company documents and director ID checked by our team before it was allowed to appear. In short: it's a real, registered South African company with an accountable person behind it, not a name someone typed into a form. Here's exactly what we check, and what the badge does not cover.

What we check

CIPC registration

We confirm the business is registered with CIPC and that its details match, so it's a real, registered company rather than a name someone typed in.

Business documents

The business uploads its registration proof, which our team reviews against what they've listed.

Director identity

We review the director's ID, so a real, accountable person stands behind every listing.

The verification process

1. Register

The business submits its details and CIPC registration number.

2. Submit proof

They upload their CIPC registration document and director ID.

3. We review it

Our team checks the registration and documents and confirms it all lines up.

4. Verified & live

Only once it passes does the business earn the ✓ badge and go live in the directory.

What the verified badge means, and what it doesn't

The ✓ badge means we've confirmed the business is real, registered and accountable. That's the part almost nobody gets round to checking on a random search result. It's not a rating of their work: for that, read the reviews and ratings from real customers on each profile. Verification gets you to a place of trust; reviews help you choose. And if a business stops meeting the bar, we can remove the badge.
